2 men arrested with 30 rounds of live ammunition in Gulu City

Police in Gulu City arrested two men, Joshua Opwomungu, 18, and Willy Kilama, 40, for alleged illegal possession of 30 live ammunition. 

They were picked up on Sunday from Bernard Ouma Oweka's home in Pece Prison Cell, Pece-Laroo division, Gulu City, which they were caretaking. A search recovered a loaded magazine with 30 live rounds. 

Aswa West Police Spokesperson, David Ongom Mudong, said the arrest followed an intelligence-led report and investigations are ongoing.

Ouma Oweka reported finding the magazine under his bed wrapped in a white cover. 'The police detectives are actively building up the case file,' Mudong said.
