Renowned Northern Uganda artist and pastor Jeff Kumagum, popularly known as DJ Languna, became the subject of online ridicule last week after telling Prophet Samuel Kakande that he had not danced for the past 10 years.
His statement, coupled with a video showing him dancing after receiving prayers for back pain, sparked mixed reactions online throughout the week, with some of his close friends and followers mocking him.
Despite having performed on various stages at nightclubs and bars in both Gulu and Kampala, DJ Languna told Prophet Kakande and the congregation that he had not danced for a decade.
While being prayed for, DJ Languna, who has since been branded a comedian by some social media users, reportedly vomited a white substance from his mouth.
He later told the congregation that he had been healed and wanted to dance. He subsequently joined the choir, where the dancing continued.
After receiving prayers, Languna stood up and addressed Pastor Kakande, saying, “Man of God, I want to dance. I have not been dancing for 10 years.”
The Ajulina hitmaker was later awarded Shs 2 million by Prophet Samuel Kakande.
