Bomah Hotel Ltd and Acholi Inn Hotel in Gulu City have been shortlisted among hotels in Northern Uganda to accommodate AFCON players and teams travelling to play their matches at Akii-Bua Olympic Stadium in Lira City.
This follows a government decision to support five hotels in Lira City and two in Gulu City to accommodate players, delegates and other guests during the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which Uganda will co-host with Kenya and Tanzania.
The hotels are Lira Hotel, Gracious Palace Hotel, Lillian’s Tower, Magerhita Hotel and Pauline Hotel in Lira City, as well as Bomah Hotel and Acholi Inn Hotel in Gulu City.
Bomah Hotel Ltd and Acholi Inn Hotel are luxury hotels located in Senior Quarters, Gulu City. Both hotels offer a range of facilities, including gardens, outdoor swimming pools, conference facilities, restaurants, bars and other amenities.
Acholi Inn Hotel is described as a four-star hotel, while Bomah Hotel offers facilities including a swimming pool, restaurant, conference room and gym.
