Police in Gulu City have arrested and detained two women who have been impersonating State House staff and Internal Security Organizations (ISO).
The suspects have been identified as Suzan Acam 42, and Susan Aguti 50 both residents of Kampala and been defrauding members of the public.
The two were arrested on Tuesday after allegedly asking for fuel and foodstuffs from the Deputy Regional Police Commander for Aswa West Region.
According to Aswa West Region police spokesperson David Mudong, the women claimed to be security operatives from State House and Internal Security Organization, but their request for foodstuffs and fuel raised suspicious.
Police are building their case file and will submit it to the Resident State Attorney for legal guidance before formerly charging in the court.
Mudong, however cautioned members of the public against dealing with such fraudsters.
