The legendary Congolese music superstar Awilo Longomba will perform in Gulu City, Northern Uganda this year.
Known for hits like 'Coupe Bibamba', 'Karolina', and 'Cache Cache', Awilo will be performing in Gulu City for the first time.
Awilo Longomba is a Congolese musician who previously drummed for Viva la Musica, Stukas, Nouvelle Generation, and Loketo. In 1995, he switched to singing, releasing his debut album 'Moto Pamba' with help from various artists.
The concert date and venue are yet to be disclosed by organisers as he is set to return to Uganda for the Open Mic Festival.
In 2024, Awilo Longomba, whose real name is Louis Albert William Longomba, performed in Masaka and Arua District, leaving Lingala lovers with unforgettable performances and memories.
