USA-based Acholitronix, Godfrey Opio, releases the official music video for 'Owiny Bwulu' on February 17, 2026, as the third single from his Roots album.
Owiny Bwulu means “Listen youths”. It’s an advisory song condemning drug misuse like alcoholism, excessive smoking, early pregnancy, and school dropout at an early age.
The song informs youths that they're the pillars of their families, inheriting the future, and should prepare for responsibilities.
Godfrey Opio, inspired by legends Ogwang Clipper and Geoffrey Oryema, released Roots on December 3, 2025, with four singles: Duyee Lamele, Mama, Owiny Bwulu, and Lemero. Owiny Bwulu blends African traditional sounds (nanga), making it more enjoyable. The Owiny Bwulu visuals were shot from USA, Kampala, and Gulu City in Bardege-Layibi Division.
