Dancehall artist Badman Jelly G has expressed gratitude to his fans and followers for their overwhelming support, crediting their loyalty for the progress of his music career and the recognition he is receiving in the industry.

Speaking while appreciating his supporters, the artist boldly declared his music label, Black Power Crew, as the biggest crew in Uganda, arguing that the unity and commitment of its members have helped it stand out in the country’s competitive music scene.

“Black Power Crew is right now the biggest crew in Uganda because I believe in myself and in life,” Badman Jelly G stated, expressing confidence in the label’s growing influence.

The singer also linked the crew’s progress to his nomination for the HiPipo Awards, thanking his fans for standing by him throughout his musical journey.

According to Badman Jelly G, the support he continues to receive demonstrates the importance of having a loyal fan base, particularly for artists who are still working to establish themselves in the industry.

Beyond celebrating Black Power Crew’s achievements, the dancehall artist called for unity among musicians, particularly those from Northern Uganda and other regions of the country.

He specifically acknowledged fellow artists Eezzy, Pato Loverboy and Okeng Borntown, who have also been nominated for the awards, emphasizing that their recognition should be a reason for collective celebration rather than competition or jealousy.

Badman Jelly G said he harbours no hatred towards fellow artists and appreciates the support and guidance they offer one another.

He believes that established musicians can help emerging talents navigate the challenges of the industry by sharing their experiences and offering valuable advice.

The artist further explained that although some musicians gained fame earlier, others spent years struggling to establish their names. He believes that combining their experiences, ideas and efforts can create greater opportunities for everyone.

“Acholi, Lango, Alur, Teso and all these other tribes, let’s go together and hit the globe,” he urged, calling on musicians and their supporters to look beyond regional and tribal divisions.

He stressed that artists should not limit their ambitions to competing against one another within Uganda but should instead work together to expand their reach across Africa and the international music scene.

For Badman Jelly G, the bigger goal is not simply to gain recognition at home but to see Ugandan artists make a lasting impact on the global stage.

His message was therefore twofold: a celebration of Black Power Crew’s growing ambitions and an appeal for solidarity among musicians.

As he continues his musical journey, the artist believes that fan support, mutual respect and collaboration among musicians will be essential in taking Ugandan music beyond its borders.

The Yelo-Oo who has been nominated for HiPipo Music Awards 2026 alongside Eezzy, Pato Loverboy, Okeng BornTown among other top regional artists is currently calling for your support so that he brings the ward home.
