Northern Uganda based dancehall singer Opiro James popularly known as Exo James sadly died on Saturday at the age of 34 after battling with Tuberculosis for a year. He was born on 3rd November 1986.
He was hospitalized last week after his condition was alarming while battling with his health problem for a year.
Speaking to his dad, Mr Odong Adwanya, he told LuoTunes.Com that Exo started battling with the sickness in 2019 and he was taken to hospital and found out that he has Tuberculosis and he was put on TB treatment immediately till he breathed his last on Saturday at Gulu Referral hospital at 8:10 pm local time
However, his dad said that the deceased has left out five (5) children plus their mother. (Three boys and two girls).
Singer's Biography and Education Background.
Opiro James best known for his stage name as Exo James comes from the family of Mr Odong Adwanya of Koch Ongaka Ibalo clan and Mrs Acen Lucy of Alokolum Lawinyi Anaki clan, both his parents are still alive.
He started pursuing his education from God's Mercy Nursery School in 1992, In 1993, he went to Gulu Prison Primary School where he sat his Primary Leaving Examination from. In 2001, he joined Sir Baker Secondary School where he managed to complete his 'O Level' studies from. And in 2005, he went to Vienna High School for his 'A-Level'.
While he was still in school, Exo James had already started moulding his career as a dancer in the Homies Crew that was in 2003 where he also managed to develop for music after his parents had no money to send him with to the University.
In 2005, he started serious development of his career by attending talent show at Alobo which it was hosted by prominent event organizer Juma Jammie by then, In 2006 he hit a recording to record his first single 'Ever Since' ft Rap D and Stevie G with producer and singer Leo Palayeng.
In 2007, he rose to fame a with collab 'Ayele' featuring Legend Lu and Mc Sqiulo.
In 2014, he dropped single 'Achiri' which went viral on airwaves and the song was recorded by producer Badman Nerio. In 2017, he was featured in a Northern all-star single ''Introduction''.
Before he died, he released a collabo titled Ka Cwinyi Yom ft Dani G. But according to his brother Rap D, Exo James was already doing music together with Bosmci Otim at Nile Republic Crew.
And besides his music, the deceased had a side business which he used to run to back up his music gigs.
Burial is slated for Tuesday 5th May 2020 at Koch Ongako and his body will leave today from Gulu Referral Hospital Mortuary for Koch Ongako where he will be laid to rest. May his soul Rest In Peace.
