Bobi Wine Vows To Unseat President Museveni, Lira's District Consultation Meeting Blocked

Kyadondo East MP, Mr Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine Lira consultation meeting has been blocked after accusing him that the venue is not secured to hold his consultative meeting.

Police and UPDF soldiers were heavily deployed last night at Pacific Grand Hotel in Lira were Bobi Wine was expected to have his consultation meeting on Wednesday, January 8th 2020.

Bobi Wine, as a gentle leader, tried his lack by pleading to Lira District RDC whether he will grant him access, but he was told that the meeting has been blocked citing lack of preparation.

“You are supposed to go back and reschedule the meeting. Now I am officially informing you that the consultation meeting has been cancelled,” he said. 

When singer cum legislator, Bobi Wine asked the police to explain why he is not allowed to proceed with his consultative meeting, Mr Obia said “you are a Member of Parliament and you are supposed to know all these. You are supposed to plan before holding a consultation,” he said.

However, Bobi Wine urged the police to observe and respect the law since the police are the custodians of the law.

People Power supporters and Bobi Wine engaged in cat and mouse chase with police in Lira town after denying him access to the venue.

This becomes as Bobi Wine's third consultation to be blocked in the country by Uganda Police and UPDF soldiers so far.
