The Face of Gulu City 2026 search has officially been launched at Bomah Hotel in Gulu City, bringing together stakeholders to mark the beginning of preparations for the annual initiative.
The launch marks the start of preparations for the grand finale, scheduled for Friday, December 18, 2026, at Bomah Hotel, Gulu City. The launch was held on Tuesday, 13th October 2026.
This year’s event will be held under the theme, “Celebrating Urban Transformation, Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development in Gulu City.”
According to Role Model Foundation Head of PR and Communications Nelson Okeny, the theme underscores the importance of recognising Gulu City’s urban development, preserving its rich cultural heritage and promoting sustainable growth.
Okeny said the initiative would provide a platform to celebrate the city’s identity, culture and transformation while bringing stakeholders together around a shared vision for its development.
The ceremony was officiated by Kamba Amir from the Office of the Resident City Commissioner, Gulu City as the Guest Of Honor.
Preparations are expected to continue in the coming weeks as organisers work towards the grand finale in December.
