A traveller, Obita, has expressed frustration and disappointment with Makome buses, questioning their commitment to passenger safety, especially with late-night travel.
"If you value your life, avoid boarding Makome buses," Obita warns. He shared his nightmare experience on a recent trip to Kitgum, urging fellow travellers from Northern Uganda to steer clear.
Obita took to Facebook, saying he and friend Moses Omwony arrived at Namayiba bus terminal, only to be delayed multiple times.
The bus was supposed to leave at 3:30pm, then 4:00pm, but didn't depart until 6:00pm. The journey, which should take about 3 hours, ended up taking over 9 hours, with Obita arriving in Bweyale at 12:30am.
He criticizes Makome for random stops, disregarding passenger safety and convenience.
Obita isn't the first to slam Makome bus services. Many passengers have voiced similar complaints about poor service and delays for the past few years.
