Legendary producer and artist City Boy has credited the late music icon Beniman Mzeeb 2star as a key inspiration behind his decision to pursue music and production professionally.
According to City Boy, it was Beniman's influence that solidified his path in the industry.
He said his career developed after meeting with the late music legend who encouraged him to write good song.
He however said he has named his child after Mzeeb for the love and remembrance after playing a pivotal role in his music career.
"I have named my child after Mzeeb because of love he showed me when I contacted him and how he helped me to become a better artist and producer today."
"That child is now in primary five and I named him for remembrance that someone back then played a crucial role in my life and career."
He concluded that the late only charged him 50,000 shillings for his first audio recording.
Despite the fact that he is one of the legendary artists who are never celebrated by his people in the region but he has played a crucial role in many lives. May his soul continue resting in peace.
