Former Uganda People's Defense Forces spokesperson, and Deputy Executive Director of Uganda Media Centre, Col Shaban Bantariza has passed away.
Col Shaban Bantariza died this morning at Mulago National Referral Hospital where he had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
According to the Government Spokesperson Ofwono Opondo, Col Shaban Bantariza died early today morning at Mulago Hospital where he had been in admission since Sunday with hypertension.
He played a key role in the ruling Government as the deputy director of Uganda Media Centre, UPDF Spokesperson, commander at the National Leadership Institute(NALI) and also as the commander of the Olive Tembo Leadership School in Kaweweta.
At the time of his death, Col Shaban was still serving as the deputy Government Spokesperson.
