Despite the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party stance against primaries’ losers returning as independents, Hon Bosmic Otim has vowed to disobey the party policy.
In a viral video circulating on social media, Hon Bosmic Otim who claimed he was cheated in the recently conducted NRM primaries says he is returning against incumbent Hon Ojara Martin Mapenduzi as an independent candidate in the forthcoming general election.
Bosmic contested in the last election of 2021 for Chua West seat in the same position on the NRM ticket, but things never went well on his side and decided not to return as independent in the general election despite his dissatisfaction with the results.
However, he lost the NRM primary for the 2026 general election to incumbent Hon Mapenduzi who has been serving as an independent candidate and of late decided to join the mighty party.
"In the general election 2026, vote for Hon Bosmic Otim, vote for H.E President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The same style you rigged the votes in the primary election twice it cannot be the same style you will win the election in the general election of Uganda 2026. The will of the people must prevail in the general election. Bardege-Layibi, vote for Hon Bosmic Otim Pa Aryemo in the general election 2026."
