National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has today survived death narrowly after their car that they were traveling in with some of the team members was shot by security forces with live bullets.
The incident occurred on Tuesday 1st December 2020 while on his way to Jinja in which both of his car tyres and windscreen were shot directly aiming at Bobi Wine himself.
"Our lives are in great danger! After blocking our campaign in Kayunga, on our way to the next in Jinja, the police and military as usual blocked the main and diverted us to a remote road. This was as if intended to set us into their convenient 'kill spot'. When they thought no one was watching, the police and military shot the tyres of my car and directly into our windscreen narrowly missing Hon Zaake and my driver." Bobi Wine posted to Facebook.
However, On Tuesday 1st, December morning, while heading to Kayunga where his campaign rally was blocked by military and police, a number of his supporters and team members were shot and injured.
It should be noted that ever since musician cum politician Robert Kyangulanyi alias
showed interest in the presidential seat, he has never enjoyed his bed peacefully or carries out any of his campaigns peacefully.
