Fighting has erupted between Uganda People's Congress( UPC) president Jimmy Akena Obote and National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine over red color.
Jimmy Akena Obote and Bobi Wine are currently not in good terms over the use of the red color on their campaign insignia and related symbols have deepened.
But UPC president, Mr. Jimmy Akena Obote says the party had earlier petitioned the EC to direct NUP leader, Bobi Wine to drop color that is dominant in both People Power pressure group and the new party, arguing they gazetted it.
Though the EC is yet to officially come out to make the announcement, sources reveal that EC boss Justice Byabakama has directed for the protection of the red color, as a reserve for the UPC party.
