Uganda songbird Lalam Irene alias Liama who has cemented her place among the cream of the country's music industry rising from setbacks, has joined the movie industry.
Liama's career which spans over 5years has seen her release song such as Missing You, Awobi, Ka Imito, Prisoner, Mood, Jesus, Love For Granted, The Deal, Save The Mother among others. She paved way for many female artists to believe in themselves in an industry that was dominated artists by male artists.
In 2019, Liama was named GYCO Academy brand ambassador after quitting her radio job at one of the local based radio station in Gulu town. In the same year, Liama was flown to Austria to represent GYCO as the country ambassador while she also embarked on her charitable organization called Liama Foundation as well. The charitable organization was formed by a group of Northern Uganda artists with a goal to help vulnerable families affected by Nodding disease syndrome.
Apparently, Liama is being featured in one of the Northhood Production Gulu movie as her first movie dubbed City of Destiny which is believe to be out anytime.
Liama is one of the country female artists who are earning their living through their careers in the industry.
