Legendary musician Tempra Omona has announced that he will be joining active politics come 2026 as the Kilak North member of parliament.
Known for his hit songs like Ikura, Nyani Oo, Nen Awene, Karama, Wa Ilwa among others, he intends to unseat Hon Akol Anthony for the Kilak North parliamentary seat.
The country has since witnessed a number of talented and celebrated musicians joining politics to unseat the long serving leaders in parliament of Uganda.
