A group of Acholi legislators have pledged to buy a car for the overall artist of the year 2024, Lucky David.
These legislators are; Hon Ojara Martin Mapenduzi, Hon Anthony Akol and Akello Lucy have come out to contribute Ugx5 million each so that the singer can acquire himself a new ride to ease his movements.
The Atye Mar hitmaker who was brought up under the care of Hon Anthony Akol, visited him with smiling faces full of joy at his workshop to represent his three accolades and also to receive more blessings from the heavyweight champion of the Uganda parliament.
On 1st of January 2025, Lucky David was crowned Rumba artist of the year, Most consistent artist of the year and overall artist of the year 2024.
While thanking the singer for his hard work, Hon Akol urged the singer to continue working hard because they want him to get out of Northern Uganda now and be the best in Uganda or known internationally.
He also appealed to other people and well-wishers to contribute whatever they can so they get for the artist a proper means (vehicle) that can help transport himself and move around during his show business.
Hon Akol went ahead and requested Northerners to render their support to the singer so that he can gift himself with a brand new wheel.
