The Paramount Chief of Lango Eng. Dr Moses Michael Odongo Okune has donated 72 million to the National Task Force to help in the fight against the deadly pandemic.
'Won Nyaci' Okune represented the cheque together with his wife Mrs Margret Odongo on Wednesday to Minister Korooro Okurut in the office of prime minister Ruhakana Rugunda inline to support Lango people at large.
"I have donated the amount of money to be expended on our people of Lango in line with the program of the National Task Force" Won Nyaci noted.
It should be noted that President Museveni invited Ugandans who can afford to contribute to whatever they can to the national taskforce. Of which the responses are still positive.
Other private businesses and individuals are positively responding to the president’s call.
