The National Unity Platform President Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has come out bitterly to attack President over fallen speaker Rt Hon Jacob Oulanyah's cause of death in a social media posts.
Since the time deceased Speaker Jacob Oulanyah was rushed to Seattle, USA for specialized treatment, Ugandans have been making allegations that he was poisoned.
On March 20, 2022, he was pronounced dead but no clear cause of death was given prompting many Ugandans to insist that he was indeed poisoned.
The fallen speaker’s father, Nathan Okori however revealed to mourners that his son didn’t die a natural death. He added that Jacob told him about his illness and projected his death would come soon.
On Friday, President Yoweri Museveni warned people against spreading what he called “fake allegations” about the speaker’s cause of death. He said that police will come to anyone alleging that the speaker was killed.
He further baptised Museveni “shameless” wondering how he rules out the fact that the speaker was poisoned yet, the late’s father himself said he was sure his son was poisoned.
“This shameless man, as usual, closes the investigation! No police officer will dare proceed to go investigate. Instead, they will hunt those calling for investigations. The first person to say that Rt.Hon.Oulanyah was poisoned was his father, who quoted the late Oulanyah himself.
“In a functioning state, allegations of this nature would be investigated in a transparent and independent manner, instead of Intimidating the nation into silence. Every attempt to silence citizens on possible murders only leaves them asking what you’re trying to cover up! ” Bobi stated.
