A tragic accident claimed the life of 50-year-old Adoch Franca in Kweyo Village, Gulu City, on April 7, 2026.
David Ongom Mudong, the Aswa West Police Spokesperson, says Franca, a peasant from Tetugu Village, was given a lift by Okello Derrick, 24, who was riding a red Bajaj Boxer motorcycle (UFC 046A) from Koch Goma to Gulu City.
According to police, Franca flagged down the rider and requested a lift. As they approached Kweyo Shopper, she fell off and hit her head, dying instantly.
Police responded to the scene, and Derrick is in custody to aid in the investigation. Franca's body is at Gulu Referral Mortuary pending postmortem.
