The Minister of Education and Sports, Mrs Janet Kataha Museveni, will release the 2025 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examination results on Friday, February 13, 2026, at State House, Nakasero.
The announcement will reveal the national performance of candidates who sat the O-Level examinations last year under the competency-based assessment framework introduced with the new lower secondary curriculum.
Last month, the 2025 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results were released by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) at State House, Nakasero.
A total of 817,883 candidates registered for the PLE examinations conducted in November 2025, with girls slightly outnumbering boys at 52.4 percent compared to 47.6 percent.
The results showed growth in candidature and highlighted performance trends that education stakeholders continue to analyze.
For the 2025 UCE cycle, UNEB figures indicate that approximately 432,159 candidates registered to sit the examinations, marking an increase compared to the previous year.
Of these, about 52.7 percent were girls while 47.3 percent were boys, continuing the trend of higher female participation at key education levels.
The examinations were conducted nationwide under strict supervision and integrity measures to ensure a smooth and credible process.
The release of the UCE results is expected to provide a detailed breakdown of performance, including overall pass rates, subject performance, gender comparisons, and trends that will help assess the progress of education reforms and learning outcomes across Uganda.
