Exiled National Unity Platform Party leader Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has attributed his presidential election defeat to what he described as misplaced priorities among some leaders within the party

Speaking about the outcome of the election, Bobi Wine said many of his fellow party leaders concentrated on securing lower-level political positions instead of fully mobilizing citizens to vote against the incumbent president.

"I lost the presidential election because many of my fellow leaders in the NUP focused on attaining minor positions rather than mobilizing citizens to vote against the current president," Bobi Wine said.

According to the opposition leader, greater unity and a stronger grassroots mobilization effort could have strengthened the party's presidential campaign.

His remarks offer insight into his assessment of the challenges the party faced during the election and highlight the importance he places on coordinated campaign efforts.

The comments are likely to spark discussion within political circles as the National Unity Platform continues to evaluate its electoral performance.
