Five people have on Tuesday perished in a South Sudan plane crash beyound recognition shortly after take-off from Juba Airport.
The South Sudan Red Cross team report indicates that they collected five bodies of the people who were aboard the cargo plane that crashed from Gondokoro, Juba.
''Our team is at the plane crash scene at Gondokoro, Juba' We have collected five bodies burnt beyound recognition. We will hand the bodies to the authorities'. the Red Cross stated on its Facebook page.
It is indicated that the aircraft was carrying 28 drums of diesel to Maban county, Upper Nile State.
They identified the deceased as four crew members which comprise of two Russian engineers, two Sudanese pilots and an agent.
However, the authorities have started investigating the incident which involved an Antonov-26 plane operated by Optimum Aviation, a local firm, said Kur Koul, director general of the airport.
