A UPDF officer identified by the names Corporal Geoffrey Okello attached to the UPDF's 4th division headquarters in Gulu has brutally shot and killed 3 people and left one seriously injured in Pece Vanguard, a suburb in Gulu town.
The incident happened on Monday 10th at night between 9 to 10 PM where the soldier opened fire inside a house where the victims were occupying, according to Maj Ceasar Olweny the spokesperson for UPDF's fourth division.
Those shot dead are Beatrice Ajok, 52, her two sons; Owen Norman, who has been a Senior Six student of St. Pope John Paul II SS, and Dan Joachim Binyang.
Peace Apwoyorwot, 8, sustained injuries and is receiving treatment at St. May's Hospital Lacor.
He is reportedly arrested and being detained at the UPDF prison at 4th Division military Barak as the investigation is still being carried out.
The crime of the scene is currently sealed off and heavily guarded by security personals.
