Gospel singer Prince Yubu, who in 2021 faked his own death, has placed Coco Finger above Eezzy, saying Coco has advanced to the “central competition” and should no longer be mentioned alongside Eezzy.

“Coco Finger is bigger than even Eezzy,” Prince Yubu said. “Coco is now regarded as being in the central competition. Don’t mention him here.”

His comments suggest he views Coco Finger as having outgrown regional comparisons and now competing at a national or mainstream level.

Both Coco Finger and Eezzy are popular musicians in Uganda’s music industry with numerous hit songs, and they both hail from Northern Uganda.

The “Never Never” hitmaker has been in the top league ever since he broke through in 2009 with his single “Emikono Wagulu,” produced by Didi.

Coco Finger, real name Okori Moses, is a Ugandan award-winning dancehall artist who has released hits like “Don’t Break My Heart,” “Ekimuli Kya Roza,” “Never Never,” and “My Miss,” among others.

The 43-year-old music legend is a vocalist capable of both rapid-fire chatting and powerful melodic singing, as portrayed in all his records.

Meanwhile, Eezzy, real name Opoka Eric, broke through to the wider music scene with his hit “Tumbiza Sound,” which gained wide recognition in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Eezzy began his music journey in 2012 and never looked back. He rose to fame with early hits like “Kamito” ft. Liama, “Gini” ft. Polite Mosko, and “Take It Easy,” but his career gained significant momentum in 2020.

Eezzy, now recognized as one of the prominent talents from Northern Uganda on the national music scene, has released numerous hits including “Take Over,” “Maka Cinga,” “Mummy,” “Fly Away,” “Lugambo,” “Giti Kwene,” “Mega” ft. Lydia Jazmine, and “Wabedo Pole,” among others.
