Okello Christopher Onyum, the suspect in the murder of four toddlers at Ggaba Daycare Development Centre, told court his earlier confession was made under duress.
Appearing before the magistrate, Onyum distanced himself from the statement recorded by police.
“I was pressed hard to do so, my Lord. I didn't have any chance to say anything else or what I wanted to say, my Lord,” - Onyum said.
He claimed a CID officer forced him to make a false confession during interrogation.
Onyum is facing charges in connection with the deaths of the four children at the Ggaba-based daycare. The case is ongoing.
