LR Media Initiatives Limited put a smile on the faces of children at St Jude Children's Home, Gulu City when they visited the orphanage and donated some basic items to support them.
The St. Jude Children’s Home is a residence for orphaned, abandoned, and disabled children, located in Layibi-Bardege Division, Gulu City, Northern Uganda.
Their mission is to provide a loving environment where children have access to comprehensive care including education, health services as well as emotional and spiritual support.
The team from the organization spent the whole day and celebrated their independence day with these children where they not only played different games with the kids but also shared with them snacks, refreshments in an effort to make the day successful.
The charity event which took place on 9th October 2025, when Uganda was celebrating her 63 independence were an initiative of LR Media Initiatives Limited, Villanova, Grace Miles Sisters (GMS), Mother Martina, Flash Gulu and Otyeno Tamarind.
They raised a good amount of money and they bought with basic items which they presented to the children's home on that day in a fun filled day which was cherished by dancing and sharing stories for the whole day during their visit.
The items included rice, cooking oil, pampers, sanitary pads, sugar, powder milk, mainz flour, clothes, soda, washing and bathing soap and among others.
LR Media Initiatives Limited, headquartered in Gulu City, Northern Uganda is a youth led not-for-profit organization commited to leveraging storytelling and media innovation to increase awareness and understanding about societal casualties and their impacts on the community.
The organization aims to foster empathy, understanding, empowering individuals , and driving sustainable social change and support for those affected by the casualties. Their office is located at Housing Finance Building 3rd floor Acholi Road Gulu City.
