Musician turned politician Bosmic Otim has revealed how he rejected a cash gift that was offered to him by the NRM secretary general Richard Todwong as a christmas package.
In a shared video on his YouTube channel, he stated that he rejected the cash gift because he can't be celebrating Xmas with happiness while his people are suffering in the prison
"I don't want NRM money because our children especially this Christmas, refused a Christmas gift or package because I want to celebrate Christmas together with our children who are in prison. I want to celebrate Christmas in the same situation or conditions where our children who have been arrested and taken to prison are living in."
''Any Acholi who was arrested for the reason for what he or she has not done because of political reasons, I want to celebrate Christmas like you because when I receive NRM money and celebrate my Xmas with happiness that will mean I have branched away from my mission to rescue home. I want to celebrate my Xmas like you who was arrested because of balaalo, and our children who were arrested because of their land and being tortured because they have refused to surrender their land, I want to celebrate my Xmas with you." - he continued.
According to Bosmic, he is ready to receive any money from any government officials when they have fulfilled what he needs them to do; 1- by releasing those who were arrested because of their land in Apaa. 2-Those who were arrested and tortured because of Balaalo herdsmen in Northern Uganda among others.
