A-24 year old South Sudanese national has been stabbed to death on Sunday morning during a flight of criminal gangs at Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement in Bweyale town council.
The deceased has been identified as Sabit Madut, a south sudanese national.
The chairperson of South Sudanese Refugee Community at the Settlement, Mr. Rek Boak said he managed to arrest two suspects who are suspected to be part of the attack and they are now being investigated over the incident.
"The incident happened on Sunday at 4:30 am when a group gangsters started to fight among themselves at Bweyale Refugee Camp. They attacked this young man who was with another gang and stabbed him to death using a knife," he stated.
"I arrested two suspects who are suspected to be part of the attack and they are being investigated over the incident." He said.
He however, condemned the attack and urged relatives of the deceased to remain calm and allow authorities to handle the matter.
"My message to South Sudanese at Bweyale Refugee Camp in Uganda is to be peaceful, not in violence," Rek urged.
