Ker Kwaro Acholi delivers on fencing of Adilang Primary School pledge

The deputy Prime Minister KKA, Martin Okumu delivered Ugx 5M in fulfillment of the pledge from Lawirwodi Rwot David Onen Acana II towards the fencing of Adilang Lalal Primary school.
 
The mayor of Adilang town council, Agago district Mr. Ongom Santo Sam had requested Lawirwodi during the visit by Ker Kwaro Acholi.

Ugx.1million shillings were also given to the Catholic Church in Adilang towards the construction of a shade at Kamrono, a prayer place dedicated to bringing peace and unity among the Acoli and Karamojong raiders. The request was made when Lawirwodi visited the prayer place last year 2024.

In related development, Ker Kwaro Acoli has started delivering tones of maize and soya bean seeds to women, elderly and youth groups across the region. 

The first disbursement of the seed comprising three tones of Soya Bean and maize was delivered to the chiefdom of Wol, Kal Karumu and Adilang. 

The Mayor of Adilang town council praised the kingdom for fulfilling its promise and urged the kingdom to continue inspiring its people into work. 

"I urge the youth and women under Nen Anyim and Ripe Ber women's group who have benefited to start serious farm work if we are to see impact on the next visit of the paramount chief"

Rwot Onek Ben Lutukunyonyo of Kal Karumu praised Ker Kwaro Acholi for taking a bold step in helping to rebuild the lives of the populace and rebuilding trust in the kingdom through hard work. 

'These seeds will go to our people immediately so that they can catch up with the planting session as we can see and project our first harvest" Rwot Lutukunyonyo, said. 

His statement matches with that of the Kingdom's PRO Mr. Okello Okuna who revealed that the kingdom is in a campaign to deliver seeds to community farming groups wo asked for support in this regard in a bid to redignify farming in Acoli sub region. 

According to Okello Okuna, the distribution comes at the helm of the ongoing visit by the Paramount chief  David Onen Acana II across the Acoli sun region. 

"The paramount chief has been on a poverty alleviation tour and now responding to the numerous issues he has come heads on with and feels tuey need immediate redress and these have been in the areas of health, education and agriculture' Okuna Said. 

Oceng Francis, the project manager at Ker Kwaro Acoli while speaking at the maiden handover of over 1 tone of SoyaBean and maize seeds to the  community in Ker Kal Kwaro of Wol revealed that this is part of the over 1 Tone of soya and 2 tones of maize seeds procured through a partnership with Uganda Prisons service to the Acoli people that needs to be put into proper use. 

Ojera Alex, LC II, Wol cel applauded the kingdom and Uganda Prison service for the good gestures, saying the delivery of the seeds especially Soyabean was timely and handy.
