Legendary Northern Uganda musician Bosmic Otim has warned that renewed conflict could erupt if threats against him continue, even as he insists he has been preaching peace and support for government.
In a video shared on social media, the artist said Northern Uganda has chosen calm, education and development, and questioned why he is being intimidated for the same message.
“If you want war to start afresh in Northern Uganda, it will start at this time when we have agreed we stay calm, take care of children, pay school fees and support the government,” Bosmic said.
“Each and every day I go on social media and preach that we support, stay and work with the government. Then you come and scare me with a gun.”
Bosmic said he will not be silenced and dared those behind the threats to act if they wish. “If the stupidity is starting, let’s start. I’m a powerful man, one in a million,” he stated.
The comments come days after he was summoned to Gulu CPS for questioning on Friday, 20 June 2026.
Bosmic also claimed that some top Acholi leaders do not want to see him benefit from his work for government. He alleged they are the ones hiring Winnie Okidi and Ocan Survivor, among others, to fight him after learning his name is among those being vetted for reward by State House.
“They give little money to Winnie Okidi, Ocan Survivor among others to fight me,” he said.
