Legendary musician and self proclaimed Presidential Advisor Bosmic Otim has been remanded to prison until 21st July 2026 following today’s court proceedings.
The court case in which musician KD Kristo accuses fellow artist Bosmic Otim of robbing him of UGX 2 million and a smartphone was mentioned today.
KD Kristo’s complaint was among 16 other cases that were prioritized by the court during today’s session.
According to preliminary information from court, the magistrate declined to grant him bail after concerns were raised over whether he had a clearly established place of residence in either Gulu or Kitgum.
Earlier today, Bosmic’s lawyer, Hon. Odonga Otto, held talks with the complainant’s side in an attempt to reach an out-of-court settlement. However, the discussions did not yield any agreement.
Although there had been expectations that Bosmic could secure bail with suitable sureties and legal representation, this did not materialise during today’s hearing.
