The re-elected Kilak South County legislator, Hon Gilbert Olanya has urged the government to mediate on issues concerning high transport fares.
He said taxi operators are still charging high transport fares as it was before covid-19 and continued to carry full capacity.
"taxi operators charge high transport fares (PSV) yet they continue to carry full capacity as it was before covid-19'' he said
He has also appealed to parliament to consider reducing the term of elected leaders including MPs and president from five (5) to four (4) years instead of increasing it to seven (7) years.
This comes after a Legal Committee proposed to reintroduce the seven (7) years term which is said was brought in bad faith and the move has tainted the image of parliament.
