Jennifer Lawala's biography: her contribution in Northern Uganda, Uganda at large and West Africa

Legendary female singer Aloyo Jenifer Lawala, well known as Mego Lawala is a United Kingdom based Musician.  She is a born of Lacekocot, Atanga in Pader District. She went to UK at the age of 17 year and still based there.

Lawala contributed alot in the effort to end suffering of Acholi people by Lords Resistance Army rebels insurgence in northern Uganda. She supported a number of vulnerable groups of people that includes: Orphans, Night Commuters, widows and widowers, women and children and government of Uganda.

In November 2004, Lawala, from UK,  wrote a strong letter to the President of Uganda demanding for the end of suffering of Acholi people in Northern Uganda. 

In 2005, she went back to UK to conduct music performances to gather resources to support the vulnerable people in Uganda. 
in the same year, Lawala cameback to Uganda and did the following contributions:

She advocated for free medical treatment for vulnerable internally displaced women fron northern uganda living in a slum area of Namwongo in Kampala Capital City and was successful.

She donated relief items to the internally displaced Acholi and refugees in Bweyale camp in then Masindi district, now Kiryadongo district and also donated millions of shillings to widows/women of Gulu main market headed by one Mama Halima UGX 7,000,000/- (Seven Milion) to support widows and women of Pece Acoyo, Lalogi and Palenga Subcounies in Omoro district.

She also donated Oxen and Ox ploughs to vulnerable people in Ter Got in Paicho Sub County and Anaka Sub couny in Nwoya District.

Constructed nursery School in Pece division in Culu City with over 300 vulnerable children and paid six teachers. Donated 10 sewing Machines for childmother tailoring training in the same school in the afternoon
Constructed a nursery and secondary  (Senior 1-4) in Patongo, Agago district 
Donated 60 mattresses to Lacekocot Health Center for children with nodding disease syndrone, Pader district
donated catering services utencil to the nubian women of West Nile

Met with Turkish Prime Minister and discussed economic partnership and brought to president of Uganda three different Turkish delegations to State House. 

She influencedd the opening of Turkish Embassy in Uganda, Trade deals between Uganda and Turkey and Operation of Turkish Airline in Uganda.

Connected Ugandan Muslim to Tanzanian Muslims for economic, spiritual and social support to Uganda (Khadi Kheli Musa 0772317391). Supported refugees in West Africa i.e. Gambia, Senegal, Cameroon and Bukina Faso through her music performance.
