The Police in Kambuga Town Council in Kanungu District have arrested a 41 year old woman identified as Rukundo Felister Kimaana for assaulting her husband resulting into death.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as 37 year old Byaruhanga Jackson a Congolese national.
Maate told our reporter that the couple were residents of Kitoolerero Cell in Eastern Ward in Kambuga Town Council in Kanungu District but no one could tell when they started living there.
Its alleged that the two had a misunderstanding yestrday evening after Rukundo realised that, Byaruhanga had used Ugx 700 to buy waragi without her consent and picked hoe handle hit him on his head and became unconscious.
According to Sgt Bikwasiroha Rashid, Byaruhanga was rushed to Kambuga Hospital today morning where he was pronounced dead by medical officers on arrival.
The scene of crime was visited by Kambuga OC Ayella Innocent and arrested the suspect as the Police are trying to trace the relatives of the deceased so that he can get decent burial.
