Ugandan singer, songwriter and Bobi Wine's right hand man Ali Bukeni alias Nublian Li has opened up on why he sent celebrated rapper Feffe Bussi to Gulu.
The Firebase singer says that he is the one who sent fellow musician Feffe Bussi to go to Gulu as a spy.
He revealed this in an interview at his wedding over the weekend ''I sent Ffefe Bussi to Gulu to spy but not because of Gen Salim Saleh's money and I must say he did a good job.''
Nubian Li, however, said that he introduced Feffe Bussi to the music industry because he always wanted to sing and advised to wait until his senior six.
“I introduced him to the music industry. He always wanted to sing, but I told him to wait until senior six. When he finished, I picked him from school and took him to the studio,” Nubian told people who attended his wedding over the weekend.
It can be recalled that a few months back, many musicians camped in Gulu, targeting Gen Salim Saleh's money.
Although most of them claimed they had gone to learn ways to survive during the lockdown without concerts.
It was surprising to see Ffefe Bbusi among the cohorts that met Salim Saleh considering that he supports Bobi Wine’s National Unity Platform (NUP).
Ffefe Bussi then released “Emboozi ya Gulu", a song that clearly explains his journey from Kampala to Gulu.
The song decodes the entire storyline of how the Uganda Superstars Association led by Dr. Jose Chameleone tabled a meeting with General Salim Saleh, in a bid to discuss a way forward for the music
