Northern Uganda artiste, Layeng Fortune Aggrey popularly known by his stage name as Laxzy Mover has been elected the new chairman of the Uganda Musicians Association Acholi sub-region.
Laxzy Mover has replaced Okello Vincent who was forced to step down by UMA Acholi Sub Region Executives a few days ago.
It's however, said Okello Vincent was removed from the position of being the chairman because he was so dormant.
He has never attended any meeting organized by UMA Acholi Sub Regions since he was elected. And he has never communicated to his people since he was elected.
While songstress Lalam Irene aka Liama was elected the vice chairperson to deputise Laxzy Mover.
Meanwhile, music legend Tam Noffy was also appointed as treasurer and promoter and radio presenter Kidega Joel aka Madekke was given a position of being the head of publicity in the regions.
The election took place last week at Taks Art Center in Gulu city.
