Musician Everyoung Ajulu has confessed that he doesn't work for Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) after he was accused by Music and Entertainment Network (MEN) executives last week of plotting to reap out of Northern Uganda musicians sweats as a member of UMA.

Everyoung Ajulu denied the allegations saying that he doesn't own any post with UMA but he was just like a messenger who was helping in informing his brothers and sisters at home on the ongoing government programs to support Ugandan musicians.

He further noted that he was disappointed upon his arrival in Gulu and found out that MEN executives mistook the government programs to be his and organized a meeting and brainwashed musicians that the called meeting by UMA was his with the plan to make money out of them.

According to him, he lives in Kampala and on receiving the information that the government is looking forward to registering all musicians in the country and start supporting them, he picked his cell phone and phoned his brothers and sisters back home as an Acholi who lives in Kampala because he knows that the programs will benefit his fellow artists who are back home.

"What happened is that I heard of the government program from Kampala because I live in Kampala is much easier for me to know of any program that concerns musicians in the country and I decided to call my elder brother Usaih who heads Gulu musicians to help mobilize them for the meeting but him and his committee called for their meeting and blindfolded the musicians not to attend the meeting,'' he said.

He, however, blamed MEN executives for blindfolding musicians in Gulu city for not attending the government programs and were left out of the beneficial opportunity last week in Gulu.

It should be noted that UMA is currently working together with the Microfinance Support centre to sanitize and registers all the local artists as members of UMA across the country under one umbrella.

And for those who attended UMA meeting last week at Acholi Inn were registered for free and for those who were left out and didn't attend the meeting, are going to be paying thirty thousand shillings (30,000) to become a member of UMA.
