Police officer Akera Harriet, who was stabbed to death by her boyfriend in Gulu City, has been buried at her family home in Purongo Town Council, Nwoya District.
Harriet, 23, tragically lost her life on April 22, 2026, after being stabbed by her boyfriend, Apire Denis. She was laid to rest on Saturday, May 8, 2026.
The officer was serving the nation and was attached to Namukosi Police Station in Mityana District.
Meanwhile the boyfriend, Apire Denis Brian, 26, a mobile money agent from Laliya Dwol Cell, remains in police custody awaiting charges.
