Uganda's rising dancehall artist Onencan Ivan, aka Kasid Puma, has landed his first major collaboration with Eddy Kenzo, aiming to capture the national fanbase.
Kasid Puma has already hit the studio and recorded the track with the BET Award winner, according to Badman Solo, Chairman of WALK Creative Arts Foundation.
The collaboration deal was struck after Kasid Puma and Badman Solo visited Eddy Kenzo's office in Kampala earlier this week. Producer Brian Beats is already working on the project, which is expected to drop soon.
If successful, this collab will make Kasid Puma the second Northern Uganda artist to work with Eddy Kenzo. Nocky Man was the first, collaborating with Kenzo when he was still rising. Okeng BornTown hinted at a collab with Kenzo in 2021, but it hasn't materialized yet.
Eddy Kenzo's influence on Uganda's music scene is undeniable, and his guidance has been instrumental for many young artists.
