Hon Opiyo Christopher Ateke, the Gulu LCV Chairperson has revealed that the veteran Northern Uganda media personality Lacambel W'Ogena is so ill and confined to his bed.
Ateke made the revelation during the graduation of the Ex-LRA beneficiaries at the Office the Prime Minister on Saturday April 26th 2025.
Lacambel is known for playing a crucial role in advocating for peace return in Northern Uganda through the 'Dwog Cen Paco' radio program on 102 Mega FM which helped many rebels to come back home.
Hon Opiyo Ateke has appealed to the government of Uganda to at least appreciate him for the great work done when he is still alive.
He also revealed that mother to the late Col Ochora Walter is living a miserable life and needs support.
''Our people tend to forget about you, the life mama mego Ejeria the way she is living, she is living a miserable life so it's very important that when we are still alive and we make our contribution to this country even if we are gone we should be recognised not only the late Ochora mother but we have Lacambel who has been coordinating peace activities but now is bedridden and nobody is thinking about him. So let us appreciate people because of the good work done." - he revealed.
