Uganda's music scene has been intertwined with politics since 2021, with many musicians leveraging their popularity to venture into politics. Artists like Bobi Wine, who transitioned from music to politics, have inspired others to follow suit.
However, some argue that musicians are being co-opted by politicians, compromising their artistic freedom. Others see it as an opportunity for artists to shape policy and advocate for change.
