House of Prayer Ministries International lead pastor, Pr Aloysius Bugingo was allegedly attacked by unknown assailants who sprayed bullets on his car while on his way home on Tuesday 2nd January 2024.
His driver Richard Muhummuza was reportedly shot and killed instantly before the prominent pastor was rushed to Mulago hospital. The incident happened at Namungoona in Kampala last night.
The Salt Media Group of Companies founder is currently admitted at Mulago Referral Hospital where he is receiving specialized treatment sustained following the shooting.
The deceased’s body has been conveyed to the City Mortuary at Mulago for a thorough postmortem examination.
Meanwhile the shooting came a few days after he disclosed to his congregation that many people wanted him dead last year but he thank God he is still alive.
The motive of the shooting remains unknown as security forces open investigations into the fatal incident.
