Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister, Norbert Mao has told Ugandans that he didn't join politics for money as a stranded person.
While addressing journalists on Tuesday about his homecoming and Thanksgiving ceremony at Taks Center, the Minister stated that he has whatever he needs.
He, however pitied those who thought his move to join NRM wasn't a good move.
"I have never join politics for money. I have whatever I need. I'm not a stranded person. I only have pity for those who think this was not a well thought out thing.'' - He stated.
According to the Minister, he last received the government salary in May 2011- July 2022 and from then, he was not on the government pay roll and still he wasn't looking like somebody who is starving for food.
"I last got a government salary in May 2011 upto July 2022. I was not on government pay roll. Did you people see me looking like a finished man. Did I ever come to beg any of you. I lived my modest life." - He concluded.
Minister Norbert Mao's homecoming and thanksgiving ceremony is slated for 27th July, 2023 at Kaunda Ground, Gulu.
