The Acholi Province team has appointed Lt. Gen. Charles Otema Awany as its new patron replacing the late Jacob Oulanyah.
While addressing journalists, Benard Loum, the Chairperson of Acholi Province said Gen Charles Otema Awany has replaced the late Speaker who was the province patron.
"Lt. Gen. Charles Otema Awany has been appointed officially the patron of the Acholi Province team, he takes on the mantle from the Late Jacob Oulanyah," he stated.
Acholi Province team which has summoned a total 35 players and they are currently basing at Sir Samuel Baker School ahead of their upcoming game against Bunyoro Province in Masindi on 6th August.
Meanwhile the return leg between Acholi Province and Bunyoro Province will be on August 16th at Pece Stadium in Gulu.
