A fatal road crash involving a Link bus with registration number UBA 003S at Ssebitoli in Kabarole District along Fort Portal-Kyenjojo Road earlier this morning has left scores of people dead.
According to the traffic police spokesperson, Faridah Nampiima, so far 20 people have been confirmed dead, of whom thirteen are adults and seven are juveniles. Out of the twenty, eleven are males and nine are female.
Nampiima disclosed that the accident occurred this morning at around 10.30 am while the bus was traveling to Kampala from Fort Portal.
It happened 2 kilometers from Fortportal City at a place called Sebitoli. She revealed that the Kyenjojo police responded to the fatal accident.
Nampiima said that the injured have been rushed to Buhinga Hospital for first aid, while the dead are at the same hospital for postmortem.
