Police in Aleptong District have launched a murder investigations after Aleptong District Town Clark was beaten to death by unknown people who attacked him and hit him with a blunt object killing him instantly.
The Police Spokesman for Kyoga North Jimmy Patrick Okema confirmed the incident that took place last night and identified the deceased as Denis Ogwang Adar who was attacked at his home in Aleptong Town Council.
While addressing journalists on Tuesday, 12 October 2021, Okema says that it’s suspected that the thugs attacked late in the night when it was raining and started vandalising his car.
It’s reported that when the deceased heard the vandalism he moved out of the house bare chest to find out and scare them but it was at this time that he was struck with the blunt object and died on spot.
The deceased lived alone in the house and since it was raining, no one came to his rescue and the lifeless body remained in the compound until sunrise today when it was discovered by the neighbors.
Okema said that the body has been retrieved from the scene and taken to Lira Government Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination to be carried out.
Okema said that no arrests have been made but the Police will hunt down the killers until they are arrested.
