Fast growing musician and political activist Strike Machine is over the moon after his latest single "We Can'' has hit a jackpot as is being used as "Uganda Needs You'' campaign song by United Kingdom based clinicians to raise funds for Uganda's Health Department.
"We Can' is a song done to sensitize the whole world about the Covid-19 pandemic which has claimed thousands of lives across the globe.
We have learnt that top Uganda musicians have started showing interest in buying the song from the singer which is not now possible for the musician to sell the out to any artist.
According to the singer, the song is being used by Ugandans in diaspora especially in United Kingdom to raise funds in regards to tackling covid-19 pandemic in Uganda through donations to help purchase more protective gears and the necessary kits for health practitioners in Uganda so that it eases their works in the Hospitals while attending to the Covid-19 patients.
The elated singer took to social medi to express his delight on the milestone achieved just within a period of three days since the song was premiered.
"Thank you so much to the United Kingdom NHS Health Care Professionals consisting of Clinicians (Doctors & Nurses), Public Health Practitioners, Health and Wellbeing Promotion and Community based organisations (CEOs) are parts of the Covid-19 Crisis Foundation for using my latest hit (We Can ) in the "Uganda Needs You" campaign, an initiative whose impact has taken the fight against Covid-19 in Northern Uganda to the next level. Asante Sana, meaning (Thank you) ??.' he posted.
Strike Machine, however, didn't wanted to disclose the amount of money they are paying him for the song but he said is a huge amount of cash.
